Use of Club Equipment:
Fencing equipment is expensive, and the DFC is fortunate to have a reasonable amount of gear for use by its fencers. Fencers who are beginners may use club equipment for the first three months, after which they are expected to purchase their own weapons, glove, mask, jacket, plastron, etc. In particular, the club does supply electric weapons for regular DFC fencers. Electric scoring boxes, spools are available for use by all club fencers during club times. Note that club equipment may only be used by club fencers. Please handle the equipment carefully. If something breaks, please put it aside and inform the coach in order to be replaced. Just about everything can be fixed by the DFC, although this is very time consuming and we rely on club fencers to by gentle and careful with all equipments. Most gear is easy to fix, and anyone can learn how to do it – we are happy to teach interested parties.
